Here I am being a planner. Our assignment was to create a body biography in preparation for our first paper. In my group we chose to the character Mala from Maus to draw. In my day book I planned out all the things we were to draw and write down on our poster. This included her objectives, her goals, to illustrate what drives and her admirable qualities. I enjoyed using my day book as a planner because it allowed us to create less errors when creating the final product. And if I ever needed to look back on it, it was right there in my day book.

I like to ask a lot of questions when I am first learning about something, I hate being left confused. Here I am asking questions about Maus that I had from our reading so far. I used my Day Book to write down my question so we could discuss them with the class. I liked this because I wouldn't forget what question I had, also when my classmates answered them it helped clarify my understanding which would later help me on our quizzes on Maus.

These are my notes on Chapter 3 of Maus. I like to take notes because I often forget every little detail and looking back on my notes helps refresh my memory. Especially right before we had a quiz. It was very helpful to have all my notes in one place and having them all in my day book really kept me organized which lead to me being successful in this class.

Here I find myself wondering around, not really paying attention to what I was doing. Being a student with ADHD its often hard to concentrate when I don't take my medicine. I tend to start things and don't finish them and I'll write a sentence and then get distracted. I found many example of this in my day book.

Going through my day book and finding positive feedback from my classmates really makes me feel good as a writer. It makes me want to continue writing and have more confidence. If all I got was negative feedback it would make me feel down about myself and not want to write anymore. I also like how in this class I got to interact with my classmates through activities like this. In many of my classes I couldn't even tell you the name of the kid that sat next to me. Getting feedback in my day book has helped build me into a stronger, more confident writer.
